Straighten your Teeth with Invisible Aligners
Are you self-conscious about crooked, gapped, or crowded teeth? You are not alone. Many adults are embarrassed by their smiles and may even think it’s too late to straighten them. The good news is that it’s never too late. At Lawrence Dental Group in Kingston, Pennsylvania, we offer clear aligners, a discreet and comfortable way for teens and adults to straighten their teeth and achieve a beautiful smile. With Invisible aligners, our patients go from hiding their smiles to sharing them with the world without ever having to wear traditional braces.
Clear Braces for Adults
You’re never too old for orthodontic treatment. More than ever, we’re seeing an increase in adult patients who wish to straighten crooked teeth but aren’t interested in wearing unsightly braces. Invisible aligners make it possible for people to improve their smiles without the hassle of metal brackets and wires. Clear aligners have become a game-changer in orthodontic treatment for adults and teens alike.
What Clear Aligners Treat
Clear Aligners treatment is appropriate for correcting minor to moderate orthodontic problems such as:
- Crooked Teeth
- Bite Problems
The Clear Aligners Treatment Process
You’ll set up an initial consultation with the Lawrence Dental Group team to start the treatment process. We’ll perform a thorough oral exam during this visit to determine if you are a good candidate for aligner treatment.
The next step is to take scans of your mouth which are then used to create your treatment plan. It typically only takes a few weeks for your first set of aligners to arrive at our office.
Once you receive your aligners, you will wear the set for around 20-22 hours per day. While the aligners can be removed to eat, drink, and brush your teeth, they need to be worn most of the day to reposition your teeth effectively. Each set of aligners is worn for about two weeks before swapping out for the next set.
Throughout the treatment process, you will need to come into the office periodically for a quick oral exam to monitor your progress. Once you complete your clear aligners treatment, you will be given a set of retainers that can be worn overnight to keep your teeth positioned properly.
Benefits of the Clear Aligners Treatment
The most significant benefit of the clear aligners treatment is the discreet clear aligners that are nearly invisible when worn. The aligners are more comfortable than metal brackets and wires that can irritate the mouth, and treatment is often faster than traditional braces.
In addition, the convenience of removing the aligners to eat and drink means there is no longer a list of dietary restrictions. The ability to brush and floss your teeth as usual also helps keep oral care simple and reduces the risk of cavities during treatment.
Am I a Candidate for Clear Aligners?
While most patients are candidates for clear aligners, there are a few instances where you may not qualify for treatment. Individuals with advanced gum disease, infected teeth, or serious orthodontic problems may not be right for clear aligners. During your consultation, our team will go over all your options.
